so so this is the interview application application. explain your character through a series of conventional and unconventional questions.
BASICS
what is your full name? nicknames? age? birthday?:
"My full name is Tess Isabel Reeves. I don't have many nicknames. Mom, Dad, and my little sister call me Tessy and my big brother calls me Tesshole. Nice one, right? I know, he's a douche bag. And then there's this guy who calls me 'Ace', but that's about it for the nicknames. I'm twenty years old, turning twenty one on December 10th. Yeah, buddy!"
are you a brookwell high school student or a university student? oh, oops, are you a local or a teacher? if you are a teacher or a local, what is your job?:
"I'm at NYU. I'm a junior and studying Marketing & Management. It's alright. I wouldn't call it my passion or anything, but Dad always told me that business is successful and I like working with people so... what the hell. Oh, and I'm a part of phi delta phi, a bad ass sorority. I fucking love my sisters and we throw the best parties."
how boring. let's get into the juice stuff, are you taken? married? in love? or are you single and free? and are you happy with your relationship status?:
"Oh please! Do you think a man could tie me down? Well... I wouldn't mind if he did, if you know what I mean. But anyway, I'm single and living it up! I've been in a lot of relationships in the past and it just never works out. I might as well get a taste of the men on campus before picking one. Like test driving a car."
where were you born? are you an american citizen or do you have citizenship in other countries as well? and what is your background, like your family background?:
"Originally from Dallas, TX. Yes, I have the southern drawl that people seemed to love, but it normally comes out when I'm angry. Dad moved us up here when I was in high school. I like it in NYC. The whole family does, except maybe Andrea. We aren't as close as I wish we were. Me and my brother are really close in the family. Our family background? Like heritage? We're mostly german, with hungarian and a little swedish."
whats a typical day like for you? like, take us through your morning routine? do you even eat breakfast, you know it's the most important meal of the day, right?
"It really depends. I'm definitely not a morning person, though. If it is Friday and I have class, I usually wake up with maybe an hour to spare. I'll hit snooze about three times, groan and roll out of bed, jump in the shower, throw on some sweatpants and a shirt, and get on my way. I'll be hungover (because helloooo, its the day after Thirsty Thursday), so sometimes I'll have a Bloody Mary, in a water bottle, ready in the fridge. Yeah, I always make them before going out because I know I'll need them the next day. I'll maybe grab a granola bar, put on my sunglasses, grab my bag, and head out the door. Usually I end up slamming my door - reminding me of my splitting headache - so I run to the campus cafe and grab a mocha, pop three ibuprofens, and sit down in class right before the professor comes in. And that's only one day a week...."

POINT OF VIEW
what is your opinion on love?:
"Love is... great. It really is. I hear all the song lyrics and I see the romantic comedies. I know that it has to be real, but it's not for me. At least not right now. I'm young and alive and love is a commitment. I'm not committed to anyone but myself right now. I thought I was in love once... but it was just infatuation and I got over it. I don't know, maybe I'll fall in love one day, but I'm not wasting my time looking for it."
what is your opinion on family?:
"Oh god, I fucking love my family. I mean, I've had friends with some pretty shitty families but mine is fantastic. Dad is great and always has a solution to anything. Mom will just listen to us vent for hours and calms Dad down when he gets angry about one of us coming home drunk or when he caught me making out with the neighbor (who was 10 years older than me). And my big brother is a pain in the ass, but he always has my back. My little sister is the smartest girl I know. She's loyal and naive and precious. We argue and scream at each other all the time, but we love each other."
what is your opinion on soul mates?:
"Eh. I'd like to think that I have options to choose from. There isn't just one guy for me and I have to find them, but that there are several options and we see what works."
what is your opinion on violence?:
"Don't do it."
what is your opinion on truth; does it even exist?:
"Um.... yes. I don't really know what else to say."
LOVE LIFE
what was your last relationship?:
"Me and this guy Scott were friends with benefits. He wanted more and I was bored, so we decided to date. It was nice... he took me out and the sex was great. But when he asked me to move in with him, I was a little taken off guard and he was confused. We ended up fighting all the time and I decided to end it. He wanted something a lot more serious than I wanted."
who was the last person in your bed?:
"Uhhh.... "
who was your first kiss?:
"Logan Hoffly. Kindergarden. We felt sparks and dated for 2 weeks. Left me for some slut named Nicole. ...bitch."
who was your first love?:
"At the time, I thought I was in love with my ex-boyfriend Jonathan. I realized it was more of an infatuation/puppy love now, though. Does that count?"
what's your biggest turn on? turn off?
"Oh god. I fucking love when a guy with five o'clock shadow kisses my neck... it's the contrast between his rough stubble and his soft lips that just totally makes me want to jump his bones. On the other side, I hate when a guy is all cocky about his junk and then blows right away. Or bad breath and greasy hair. Nasty."
what exactly is your "type"? what do you look for in the opposite..or the same sex? are you heterosexual or homosexual?
Well, I'm straight. So... I look for guys with good hygiene. I normally am attracted to the jock-type of guys. You know: big muscles, probably played football in high school, tall... For some reason I love dark hair and blue eyes. Sexy as hell. And a nice smile. I don't know, it really depends. If I was looking for someone just to fuck, I'm more attracted to the douche-bag with a cigarette in his mouth and a dangerous air about him. If I'm looking for a serious relationship, I like the genuine smile and a good heart. Someone that will joke around and pick me up and laugh with me. But eh, I'm not too picky."

FAMILY

how close are you to your family?:
"Like I said, we're tight."
who are you closest to in your family?:
"I'm closer to my older brother than anyone. We tell each other everything and we're totally alike."
who can't you stand in your family? it's okay, we won't tell anyone:
"Ok, well we have this Aunt Helen that nobody likes. She's the aunt that you run into at family gatherings and everyone is giving you a sympathetic look. She just doesn't know when to stop talking and she makes the rudest comments I've ever heard. One day she told my baby sister that she was getting fat and that's why she doesn't have a man. You don't fucking say that to a fifteen year old girl. That scars them for life!"
what is your relationship like with your mother? father?:
"My mother is fantastic. I treat her like shit sometimes, normal teenager/parent stuff. But she always has an open ear and usually it is on my side. Dad is great, too. He loves us and shows us all that by working hard to support us. He's overly protective at times and has a bit of a temper, but we laugh together all the time. He taught me how to grill when I was growing up and it's our thing now."
how old were your parents when they met? how old was your mother when she had you?
"Dad was 28 and Mom was 20. This is why I hate when Dad gives me shit for dating older guys. Mom was 23 when she had my brother and 25 when she had me."
THIS OR THAT
fight or flight?:
"Fight."
milk or soda?:
"Diet Cherry Coke, please."
cat or dog?:
"Dogs."
library or club?:
"Hahaha.... library. I'm juuuust kidding, club for sure."

SELF
tell us something that you want to change about yourself?
"I tend to come off like a bitch to people that don't know me. I should be nicer."
everyone has a big achievement, what's yours? what's your biggest regret?
"My biggest achievement was graduating high school with honors. That took a lot of hard work. But my parents would let me go out all night as long as my grades were up, so that was motivation. I try not to regret anything that I do... but I regret last semester. I went off the deep end with partying. I slept with a lot of guys, almost doubling my number, and I skipped most of my classes. I actually got pregnant but no one knows... only my brother who took me to planned parenthood. I got an abortion and I can't help but think I killed my child. I wish I would have had it, but that would be too embarrassing. For myself, my family... and I wouldn't have known who the father was."
did you see yourself having this kind of life five years ago? where do you think you will be in five or even ten years from now?
"Well, five years ago I was fifteen and I never would have thought that I would have survived New York. I was still living and Dallas and Dad just told us the news. We moved the week after my sweet sixteen. I don't think I would have stayed this long either. I was set on going to Texas State. Five years from now I'll be graduated with my degree. Hopefully I'll have a job working as a marketing researcher in some corporation in New York. I'd like to have an apartment by myself and maybe a puppy. In 10 years I'd like to be the CMO (chief marketing officer) of some badass company, making money, and maybe be settled down."
anything else that you feel we should know about you? any dirty little secrets?
"I have a tattoo on my lower back from a night that I got drunk. It says 'crazy nights' in chinese. I think..."
