sullivan bailey clarke
so so this is the interview application application. explain your character through a series of conventional and unconventional questions.
BASICS
what is your full name? nicknames? age? birthday?:
my full name is sullivan bailey clarke but everyone who knows me just calls me sully. i just turned 21 in august and i've been enjoying every moment of legally being able to drink. it's nice not having to carry around a fake id anymore.
are you a brookwell high school student or a university student? oh, oops, are you a local or a teacher? if you are a teacher or a local, what is your job?:
i'm a senior university student so after this year i'll be heading to medical school. most people are surprised when they hear that but i'm planning on becoming an oncologist. why? i just want to be one.
how boring. let's get into the juice stuff, are you taken? married? in love? or are you single and free? and are you happy with your relationship status?:
i'm single and i'm probably going to stay single for a while. i'm pretty happy with my relationship status but i'm not opposed to change.
where were you born? are you an american citizen or do you have citizenship in other countries as well? and what is your background, like your family background?:
i'm an american citizen born and raised in hartford, connecticut. both of my parents are originally from england which makes me british i guess.
whats a typical day like for you? like, take us through your morning routine? do you even eat breakfast, you know it's the most important meal of the day, right?
even though it's an important meal i never seem to have time for breakfast. most of my days include lots of studying during the day then partying with the boys in my fraternity during the nights.

POINT OF VIEW
what is your opinion on love?:
i don't think love exists it's all based on chemicals. there's a scientific explanation for what people are feeling and if i had time i'd explain it all to you.
what is your opinion on family?:
family is a little tricky for me. i don't know what i'd do without my sister but as for my father if he was gone i dont think i'd be too torn about it. family is something i'm still working on.
what is your opinion on soul mates?:
if love doesn't exist neither do soul mates.
what is your opinion on violence?:
it should be avoided, there's always a way to get things done without getting violent.
what is your opinion on truth; does it even exist?:
truth exists people just prefer not to use it. it's hard to believe most things people are saying but everything can't be a lie.
LOVE LIFE
what was your last relationship?:
my last relationship was during my freshman year of college with a girl named melissa. she always wanted attention so i ended up dumping her because i wanted to focus more on school.
who was the last person in your bed?:
my roommate who jumped on top of me to try and wake me up. not the first thing you want to happen in your morning i assure you.
who was your first kiss?:
i was dared to kiss a girl in first grade and i believe her name was audrey.
who was your first love?:
i've never been in love.
what's your biggest turn on? turn off?
my biggest turn one would have to be intelligence making the biggest turn off stupidity. i can't stand someone who's ignorant about what's going on around them.
what exactly is your "type"? what do you look for in the opposite..or the same sex? are you heterosexual or homosexual?
i'm heterosexual and very much into the females. my type would just be someone who's smart and able to take care and stand up for herself. a girl who isn't dependent on a guy and doesn't need a guy to function.

FAMILY

how close are you to your family?:
not very close at all. my family all live in connecticut so i only come to visit during the breaks.
who are you closest to in your family?:
that would have to be my younger sister patricia. she's only two years younger than me and shes probably the person that knows me the best. she goes to columbia university so we're constantly visiting each other.
who can't you stand in your family? it's okay, we won't tell anyone:
that would have to be my step-mother. she's the type of person who's never heard of giving someone space. after my mother died my father only took two years to get remarried and she has the impression that she could take my mother's place. well obviously that hasn't been working out well for her and not because she hasn't tried.
what is your relationship like with your mother? father?:
well my biological mother is dead but when she was alive we got along great. she was the person that everyone liked because she was genuinely nice and really cared about people. as for my father and my step-mother we don't get along at all. the only talking that ever goes on between me and my father would have to be when i need money. so far that's been going great for us. as for my step-mother it's her talking and me not caring about what she has to say.
how old were your parents when they met? how old was your mother when she had you?
my parents met in college when they were both in their twenties. my mother had me a few years later when she turned twenty-five.

THIS OR THAT
fight or flight?:
fight, no use in running away from a fight.
milk or soda?:
neither, i'd prefer water or juice.
cat or dog?:
again neither, i'm allergic so i tend to stay away from cat and dogs. if i have my allergy medicine then probably cats.
library or club?:
it would definitely be the library because unlike most people i actually like to read and study and know what's going on.

LAST..

text message, from who:
from my roommate asking if he could get the room tonight because he was bringing his lady friend over.
fully played song on your ipod:
snow - red hot chili peppers
food that you ate:
a hamburger.
person you hugged? kissed?:
it was at a party so honestly i dont remember her name.
movie that you watched:
snatch.
person that you said i love you to:
it's been a while since i've told anyone i loved them.
illegal thing that you did:
i'm not sure if it counts but serving pledges alcohol probably.
significant change in your life:
my mother dying was probably what changed me the most. she got cancer when i was eight and there wasn't anything i could do to help her. but that's why i'm planning on going into medicine to help any other kid that might be stuck in the same situation.
SELF
tell us something that you want to change about yourself?
probably the fact that i can never seem to relax without drinking or doing something stupid. i'm a busy body so i'm always looking for something to keep me working.
everyone has a big achievement, what's yours? what's your biggest regret?
my biggest achievement is probably almost finishing school. my biggest regret would have to be that i'm still midly financially dependent on my father. most of my tuition is being paid for my scholarship but whenever i need those exta things he is who i have to go to in order to get it.
did you see yourself having this kind of life five years ago? where do you think you will be in five or even ten years from now?
i see myself training to be an oncologist. maybe while i'm training i'll end up finding that right girl and we'd get married. but i'd like to focus on the present and i'll think about the future when i get to it.
anything else that you feel we should know about you? any dirty little secrets?
i think this interview has definitely been enough. i dont even know how you got me to do it considering i never talk about my personal life with anyone.
