I guess I count as a local. I dropped out of university just this year. Don’t judge me, college isn’t for everyone, right? Damn sure I broke my mother’s heart with that, though. Connecticut, exciting, right? Yeah, I’m completely and totally American. No citizenship in any other countries at all, actually… I’ve never even been out of the country. I kinda want to go to Italy, though because I’m like, half Italian. But I don’t think that’s going to happen any time soon.

I think family matters, if that’s what you mean. When I’m a father… if I’m ever a father… I’m gonna be a total family man. I mean, I was a total mama’s boy when I was living back home… and not in my car. I don’t really get along with my dad but I still care about him, y’know?

When I was younger we use to be one big happy family, but as of recently we’ve kinda drifted. I’m an only child too, so it’s not like I have siblings who call me and stuff. I kinda avoid my family, not that I don’t love them, I just… I don’t know. We’ve grown apart, I’ve grown up.

I wouldn’t say I can’t stand him, he’s just a little overbaring at times, my father, I mean. We don’t really march to the same beat, he’s got his views, and mine are exactly the opposite. We clash, is what I mean. He's a retired cop, and i struggle to keep myself out of prison. In short, he's law abiding. I'm more like "lets go smoke some pot and drink underaged!"

see above for my father. As for my mother, I love her to pieces. I can’t even begin to describe how much she’s taught me. She showed me how to be a real man (ironically), she’s my inspiration for everything and to be honest, I feel bad that I’ve drifted from her. But that’s just how things go, right?

My parents knew each other since they were kids, like 5 or 6 I believe. And they’ve been married 25 years. They’re the reason why I believe the whole love at first sight thing. They’ve been married and going strong forever. My mom had me at like… age 29 a few years after my dad and her got married, so, yeah, I’m not like a bastard child or anything. I have a fairly normal family.

I don’t think I have many achievements. Pretty much just surviving is my achievement. Does that count? And then regret? Probably the fact that I'm not living up to my fathers, nor my own expectations of myself. It's a bit depressing.
