celeste breanna sommers
so so this is the interview application application. explain your character through a series of conventional and unconventional questions.
BASICS
what is your full name? nicknames? age? birthday?:
my full name is celeste breanna sommers, but people just call me.. cel, celly but people these days tend to just drop the nicknames and call me by celeste. of course, that's with the exception of my close friends and family - they can call me whatever they like, and i wouldn't care. for example, my sister calls me dork all the time and i kind of like it. it's funny and i know she's just joking. um. anyway, i just turned 18 years old. my birthday was february 25th. 11 days after valentines day.
are you a brookwell high school student or a university student? oh, oops, are you a local or a teacher? if you are a teacher or a local, what is your job?:
yes, i am a student. well, a brookwell student. this year is my senior year, but i don't have a job. ..well, unless you count volunteering at the animal shelter a job but i don't get paid so.. i don't know. besides, my parents have money and i kind of just... um, live off of their money. yeah, i should probably get a job soon.
how boring. let's get into the juice stuff, are you taken? married? in love? or are you single and free? and are you happy with your relationship status?:
i am.. single, and i have been for awhile. i was um, engaged, but that kind of ended. i know, i know - engaged at my age? it was pretty ridiculous, but it's over now. i guess you could say that i'm content with my status, but, of course.. i, y'know, wish i wasn't sometimes.
where were you born? are you an american citizen or do you have citizenship in other countries as well? and what is your background, like your family background?:
i am a born and raised new yorkian, as a matter of a fact. i know this place like the back of my hand. i swear i have committed every street, sidewalk and store to my memory. so, yes, i am an american citizen. well, lets see, my family isn't that special. my mom was actually from naples so that makes me half-italian, but my dad was born here as well. he's a wealthy lawyer, and my mom is a writer. she invests on making cook books, so it's sort of an entrepreneur job. kind of. my family, on my dads side, has always been wealthy while mom's family was just sort of.. average.
whats a typical day like for you? like, take us through your morning routine? do you even eat breakfast, you know it's the most important meal of the day, right?
okay, well, odd question. i do eat breakfast - but that's also because my mom has always lectured me if i skipped breakfast, so it's just a routine now. i wake up around 6:00 in the morning, i take a quick shower, brush my teeth, then i go and find something to wear. as my hair is drying, i put on some makeup and then i blow-dry my hair. after that, i style it however i want it to be for that day then i go and get something to eat. i usually have a toaster strudel or something small like that. then i leave and go to school.

POINT OF VIEW
what is your opinion on love?:
.. well, love is, i don't know, it's important. it's important to a lot of people, and especially to me. i personally believe strongly in love, but that's because i've experienced it. i know i'm young and i, according to my mom, have no idea what love is but i'm sure i have experienced it. i'm positive. but, back to the question, i mean.. love is vital and inevitable. everybody will experience love in their life, whether it's loving a boyfriend, girlfriend, etc.. or it could be loving your pet, loving your parents and just stuff like that. it's inescapable, and it will happen to everybody. love is complicated, and.. frustrating, i guess.
what is your opinion on family?:
oh man, family is everything. it's just a shame that some people out there don't have a family.. because honestly i can't imagine a life without mine. they're just so amazing, and i know that they will support me with whatever choice i make. i can count on them to have my back. having a family is like, one of the greatest things ever. it's the best gift ever, and a family should never be taken granted of.
what is your opinion on soul mates?:
tricky question. i want to say that i believe in them, but i'm not sure. i mean, i once thought that i had found my soul mate but.. now i'm not so certain. it's just a complicated theory - like, where's the evidence of soul mates? it's portrayed all the time in movies, like the notebook and.. and romeo and juliet, but they're fictional. i'm not sure if soul mates exist or not, but if they do, then somebody would have to be damn lucky to find their soulmate.
what is your opinion on violence?:
i'm normally a pacifist, and i believe violence should only be used as a last resort.. but, i have to say, if anybody threatened my family, i'd go apeshit. i would.. grand battement my foot twenty miles up their ass. just saying.
what is your opinion on truth; does it even exist?:
it does, yes, but people choose not to tell the whole truth. i mean, i'm sure it exists but.. i don't know. i think honesty is the key to everything. it will take you to good places. then again, people choose not to be honest and it ends up blowing up in their face.
LOVE LIFE
what was your last relationship?:
as i said before, i was once engaged. yes, at my age. his name was mason smith, and we started dating my sophomore year of school but i had known him my whole life. we were childhood friends. like, we made mudpies in my backyard and he was my cousin's best friend so that's how i knew him. my cousin, adam, was always over at my place and mason was sort of my neighbor so we saw a lot of each other. as the years progressed, i stopped paying attention to him and i dated other people. i ignored him, and eventually i found out he liked me so i began to avoid him. of course, i always ran into him during my avoidance period which was.. unfortunate, but i somehow.. ended up liking him after my break-up with brendan. mason was a charmer, and he was a player. i didn't want to like him, but i did. and ..god, i don't even know who asked who, but we began to date. it was a good two years, and we were great. i mean, i loved him because he was dorky. he had dropped his player ways for me, and i found out how sensitive he was. but anyway, a few months ago, i found out that he broke one of his promises and i was livid. in our relationship, we made promises to each other - he promised to me that he would stop doing drugs, because i knew he acted like a complete jerk when he did them. but he didn't stop, and that was the reason for our break-up.
who was the last person in your bed?:
mason. well, in that sense, he was. but the last person was actually my sister, bambi, but that's because we were watching wanted together.
who was your first kiss?:
i think.. it might have been brendan daniels, and that was in freshman year of high school.
who was your first love?:
mason. unfortunately.
what's your biggest turn on? turn off?
a huge turn off for me is drugs. like, if anybody does drugs, i'll judge them because... they're just awful. especially stuff like cocaine - ugh. also, liars are a huge turn-off. and.. lets see, soccer players are a turn-off for me now. don't ask why. but.. hm, a turn on? dark hair, definitely. i don't know what it is, but i don't like blonde hair. also, height is a huge deal. i could never date a short person. oh, and dimples. most definitely.
what exactly is your "type"? what do you look for in the opposite..or the same sex? are you heterosexual or homosexual?
just as a clarification, i am heterosexual. strictly boys. and.. i look for a boy who is sensitive, and not a jerk. y'know, a guy who is willing to be themselves around me and not be afraid of their showing their flaws. spontaneity is a good thing too - he would have to be random, and.. quirky. y'know?

FAMILY

how close are you to your family?:
i am extremely close to my family. i'm pretty family-oriented. like, i would rather be with my family than any of my friends if that makes sense. i like spending time with my family - they're so hilarious, and fun to be around. just recently, my dad and mom split up and my dad re-married to this other woman and.. she's alright, i suppose. she's nice to me, and i'm nice to her. it's sort of an awkward relationship, but i'm not one of those kids who hate their step-parent, y'know? i have no reason to hate her. after all, it wasn't her fault that my parents divorced.
who are you closest to in your family?:
honestly? it would probably be my step-sister, bambi. sometimes i call her elly, because her middle name is noelle.. you get it? okay, well, anyway, she's older than me but it feels like we're blood-sisters. i mean, it doesn't feel like we're not related at all because we have so much in common. hell, we even had the same boy problems. i go to her for a lot of advice on girly things, and boy problems. we go with each other like mac and cheese.
who can't you stand in your family? it's okay, we won't tell anyone:
oh no, i love my family! i can stand everybody, but i have to say that the person who is most annoying would have to be my cousin, adam. he's so damn protective of me. he hates it when i wear shorts and dresses because it "shows too much skin".. but i'm forced to love him, and i know he's only looking out for me.
what is your relationship like with your mother? father?:
with my real mom, i'm pretty close. we still keep in touch and she visits for the holidays even though it's pretty awkward with the step-mom around.. but still. she's a good mom, and i don't blame her for anything that has happened. as for my dad, i know my sister doesn't favor him too much but that's somewhat reasonable. see, my dad has.. high expectations, and he's a bit awkward at times. i think he tries too hard to be perfect, and he wants us to be perfect. he just doesn't understand that nobody is perfect.
how old were your parents when they met? how old was your mother when she had you?
they were blind dates, according to my mom. their friends had set them up together. i don't know the whole story, because they had told me so long ago and now they choose not to talk about it. my mom was.. wait, let me think. she's 48 now, and i'm 18.. so she was 30 years old when she had me.
THIS OR THAT
fight or flight?:
it honestly depends. when it came to mason, i was more than willing to fight with him but.. i don't know. in a serious matter, it would probably be flight.
milk or soda?: soda. i'm a junkie.
cat or dog?: dogs.
library or club?: club.

LAST..

text message, from who:
"keep your head high and your middle finger higher" from my sister, bambi. haha, yeah, she gives me advice all the time. i mean.. i don't usually take it because i would probably get my ass kicked by some people..
fully played song on your ipod:
heartbeat with enrique iglesias and nicole scherzinger. it's an amazing song, and it's my ringtone.
food that you ate:
i'm a vegetarian, so the last thing i ate was a yummy salad from panera.
person you hugged? kissed?:
the last person i hugged was my sister, and the last person i kissed was mason.
movie that you watched:
wanted with james mcavoy and angelina jolie. yeah, it's a badass movie.
person that you said i love you to:
my mom when she called to check up on me.
illegal thing that you did:
i was driving in the suburbs where my mom lives, and i accidentally forgot to stop at the stop sign..
significant change in your life:
my break-up with mason. to me, it was a huge deal and a huge change. it'll take some getting used to.. y'know, being single again but i can honestly say that i'm over it. sort of. i mean, it's not like i cry myself to sleep every night. i'm not that hung up about it.
SELF

tell us something that you want to change about yourself?
um. i'm not sure? oh, wait. i wish i had blue eyes. my eyes are an ugly brown and.. they're not attractive.
everyone has a big achievement, what's yours? what's your biggest regret?
well, i made captain of my school dance team. that was a huge achievement for me. but i've been in dance since i was four so.. i don't know. my biggest regret would be.. i hate to say this, but it would be breaking up with mason. sometimes i feel like i was too harsh on him.
did you see yourself having this kind of life five years ago? where do you think you will be in five or even ten years from now?
i sort of did, except i imagined that i would be in an excellent relationship with someone really good-looking. and i was up until a few months ago. in five to ten years.. i will hopefully be doing something useful with my life. i'm not sure what i want my career to be just yet.
anything else that you feel we should know about you? any dirty little secrets?
i... drink? i'm not sure if that's a good secret or not. oh, and i got a tattoo without my dad knowing.
