vivienne nicole danverth
so so this is the interview application application. explain your character through a series of conventional and unconventional questions.
BASICS
what is your full name? nicknames? age? birthday?:
"my full name is vivienne nicole danverth. a mouthful, huh? well, just blame ever so creative mom for that. she was the one who decided to name me vivienne - i suppose she thought it was unique, but my dad wanted to name me nicole. hence vivienne nicole. i'm guessing my mom had the upperhand in that one. i don't really have any nicknames - i mean, occasionally, people refer to me as 'V' but that's about it. besides, what nickname can you derive from vivienne? there's always viv.. but that just sounds bad. i'm 21 - actually, i just turned 21 a few weeks ago. i was born on may 6th."
are you a brookwell high school student or a university student? oh, oops, are you a local or a teacher? if you are a teacher or a local, what is your job?:
"i'm a uni, actually! to be more exact, a up-coming junior. my major is science.. specifically animal science. i've always wanted to work with animals, and i'm just trying to make that work out for me in whatever way i can. i also have a job, though. i work at the local animal clinic as an assistant - along with college, the vet is training me as well."
how boring. let's get into the juice stuff, are you taken? married? in love? or are you single and free? and are you happy with your relationship status?:
"i am, and probably will be for awhile, single. i don't know why though - i mean, people tell me i'm pretty all the time yet boys are seemingly repulsed by me. my mom says it's because i'm intimidating. .. i don't know, but it doesn't really bother me that much. thing is, i watch all of these soppy romantic comedies and it always makes me want some ridiculous, dysfunctional yet wonderful love. i think i'm becoming a hopeless romantic."
where were you born? are you an american citizen or do you have citizenship in other countries as well? and what is your background, like your family background?:
"truth be told, i wasn't born in america. some think it's a bit of a shocker especially since i have such a great american accent, but i was actually born in sydney, australia. i lived there for about twelve years, and then my dad and mom split up. he moved to new york and i decided to go with him. i'm a daddy's girl, what can i say? 'sides, my mom has two other kids. i didn't want to stress her out with my teen desires. rest assured, i call her at least twice a week and have video chats with her all of the time. i often go visit on holiday vacations as well. i like to stay in touch with my family back in australia. now that i live in new york, i did go apply for citizenship and i am officially an american citizen. there's not that much family background. this is the first time my family, the danverths, have ever strayed out of australia. i come from a long line of judges - my father was previously a judge, and so was my grandfather and great grandfather and great-great grandfather. see? not that interesting. i suppose my dad expected me to become a judge, but i'd rather work with animals and i know he's happy with whatever decision i make."
whats a typical day like for you? like, take us through your morning routine? do you even eat breakfast, you know it's the most important meal of the day, right?
"lets see. i usually wake up around 8:30, and i stay in bed for another ten minutes because i'm lazy. eventually i find the motivation to get up take a shower, which takes a good fifteen minutes and then i brush my teeth. after that, i throw on some clothes and walk to the kitchen to find something to eat. i don't normally eat a huge breakfast - i'd be fine with a bagel, or toast. so once i've eaten, i go back to the bathroom and do my make up and hair and that usually takes 20 to 30 minutes. once i'm done with that, it's usally around 10:30. my first class starts at 11:00, so i quickly go to my classes and then at 4:00, my training at the clinic starts. so, after my training and classes are finished, i usually stop by subway or something, order a simple sandwich and go back home."

POINT OF VIEW
what is your opinion on love?:"i'm not too sure if i believe in true love. y'know, soulmates and love at first sight. i'm one of those people that would have to experience it in order to believe it. however, i do believe in love. i mean, there are all sorts of love. there's family love - for example, i simply adore my family but that's not.. love love. there's also friendship love. i can honestly say that i love my best friend. and, then there's.. y'know, love. i've never been in love .. at least, i don't think it was that deep. i've said 'i love you' to my ex-boyfriends before, but i don't think i ever truly meant it.. y'know? okay, well, i'm rambling. anyway, i do believe in love and i think it's a wonderful thing. all you need is love, right? yes, i did just quote the beatles."
what is your opinion on family?:"okay, so maybe i lied earlier. you need family too - not just love. my family is my number one priority, and i'm super protective of them. i think having a family is possibly one of the greatest things anybody could ever have. family is always there for you, no matter what, and even if it's a dysfunctional family, they'll be there through thick and thin. ..of course, some families are an exception."
what is your opinion on soul mates?:"i've explained this before. i don't believe in them.. not yet, at least. ugh, i mean, i don't know why i don't believe it. it just seems ridiculous. given, i enjoy watching movies about soulmates and i normally think it's so darn cute but, in reality, i think it's fictional."
what is your opinion on violence?:
"wow, you're really digging out the serious questions, huh? well, violence is.. intolerable. i can't fathom how anybody would ever exert violence on somebody. i mean, it's just so.. wrong. how can people gain satisfaction from it? that's a question i'll never know the answer. i get especially mad when i heart about people abusing innocent animals. it makes me want to just.. blow up on them, and given, i do sometimes imagine myself kicking them in the face repeatedly but.. i don't know if i would actually do it if the opportunity presented itself. ... wait, scratch that. i totally would, especially if it were a cute little animal that they were abusing. i'd go apeshit. wow, i'm such a hypocrite. then again, there are rare occasions when people deserve to be kicked in the face. in my opinion, at least."
what is your opinion on truth; does it even exist?:
"..what? of course it does. i'm not even sure what that question means - and i can tell you that truthfully. unless you're talking about.. facts, as in scientific facts. i'm not sure where i'm going with this.. but, yes, truth does exist."
LOVE LIFE
what was your last relationship?:
"it was.. freshman year of college, i think. his name was cameron, and i sort of fooled myself into loving him. we were on & off for around ten months, and then we broke up due to lack of common interests. i was upset for a week or so, but i eventually got over it, and so did he. we don't talk that much anymore, but we didn't really want to become enemies after our break up. i see him every now and then but it's kind of awkward, y'know?"
who was the last person in your bed?:
"this might sound bad, but i don't remember his name. i mean, if you're referring to.. um, y'know. wait - what kind of question is this? i don't have to answer this."
who was your first kiss?:
"it was this boy named ethan and we were in seventh grade. it was back in australia, and.. obviously i don't see him anymore, but i do have him as a friend on facebook! we also follow each other on twitter."
who was your first love?:
"cameron. i won't forget him - he was my first love, and my first.. other things."
what's your biggest turn on? turn off?
"i really hate when people blow their nose in public - especially when guys do it. gross! or when guys are very open about private things. once, i was on a date with this guy named adam, and he just told me "i have to go take a dump, be right back." and he left to the bathroom. it was so repulsing. however, my huge turn ons are when guys are spontaneous - for example, bringing me random flowers when there's no occasion. or taking me to a lighthouse just because. that's what i love. i also like guys who choose to be fit, and not just snack on fast food all day. oh, and not to forget, guys who love animals just as much as i do are the best."
what exactly is your "type"? what do you look for in the opposite..or the same sex? are you heterosexual or homosexual?
"you ask the oddest questions, but okay. i sort of explained this jus a few seconds ago, but i'll say it again. my type would consist of guys being spontaneous, healthy and they have to love animals. ..then again, dark hair and blue eyes wouldn't be too bad either but that's sort of a preference and not a requirement. i am heterosexual."

FAMILY

how close are you to your family?:
"i am extremely close to them! i don't live with my dad anymore, but i often meet up with him for lunch. my family in australia.. well, i try to visit them as much as i can but thank god for technology. i'd do anything for them."
who are you closest to in your family?:
"my dad, but that's probably because i see more of him than my other family members."
who can't you stand in your family? it's okay, we won't tell anyone:
"i'm sort of glad that you brought this up, because this has been bugging me for so long! i have to say that my cousin, steven, gets on my last nerves! he has absolutely no respect for women or animals, and if i could punch him without getting into trouble, i so would."
what is your relationship like with your mother? father?:
"i usually have video chats with my mom as much as i can - we live in very different time zones, so it's hard to do that when we're hours apart but we make it happen. my mom and i are close - we talk about girly things that i couldn't talk about with my dad. when i lived in australia, we always had mother-daughter weekends. as for my dad, we're super close now but that's probably because we always see each other. we understand each other extremely well."
how old were your parents when they met? how old was your mother when she had you?

"you would expect me to know this. hm, they told me that they met when they were in eleventh grade.. so probably around 17. they were highschool sweethearts for the rest of their junior year and senior year. they were on & off during the college years, and.. now they're broken up. my mom said she was 24 when she had me. i'm the oldest!"
THIS OR THAT
fight or flight?:
"what about the third alternative? freeze. i would be the one to freeze.. but it would really depend on the situation. i try to avoid violence as much as possible though."
milk or soda?:
"i honestly can't stand milk, so i'm going to have to go with soda. but i normally drink passion fruit tea or something like that."
cat or dog?:
"don't make me choose because i can't. i'm just an animal person - i love both cats and dogs."
library or club?:
"....... yet another hard decision. it depends who i'm with. if i'm alone, i'd go to the library. but if i were with a bunch of friends, it would definitely be the club."

LAST..

text message, from who:
"my last text message was from.. my dad. and he texted: dinner tomorrow at 6:00? chili's? it's on me. i have some good news to tell you. and, yes, i do plan on going."

"the last thing i ate was some won ton soup at the chinese place. i forgot what it was called."

"i hugged my friend yesterday when we were parting ways, and the last person i kissed.. i don't even know. i kissed my dad on the cheek last week, if that counts?"

person that you said i love you to:
"my mom when we were on the phone last night."
illegal thing that you did:
"i plead the fifth."
significant change in your life:
"hmm. lets see. i would have to say when i began my training at the clinic - if it weren't for that, i wouldn't have a job to be paying for groceries. i would still be living with my dad."
SELF
tell us something that you want to change about yourself?
"i wish i wasn't so judgmental. i always find myself judging people upon first meeting, and i know it's a horrible habit but i can't help it. also, i'm planning on not being so.. okay, to put it simply, i hate losing in arguments. i always want to be right at everything, and my mom tells me all the time that that isn't a good thing so i'm hopefully going to change that sometime soon."
everyone has a big achievement, what's yours? what's your biggest regret?
"my biggest achievement would be when i landed the job at the clinic, and when i got my apartment with my own money. my dad offered to pay for it, but i refused. i was determined to pay for it myself. besides, i'm all grown up now. my biggest regret.. well, once upon a time, i made my mom cry because i broke the locket her mother gave her. i mean, it was an accident but i felt so horrible. she still has it, but the picture inside the locket is still cracked."
did you see yourself having this kind of life five years ago? where do you think you will be in five or even ten years from now?
"..well, that's a tough question. for the most part, i did. i had always planned on working in a clinic and going to my classes. i also planned on buying a place for myself. five to ten years from now, hopefully i will be full-time at a clinic as a vet tech or the vet. hopefully. i plan on staying in new york for awhile."
anything else that you feel we should know about you? any dirty little secrets?

"no, not really. i don't really have any dirty little secrets."
