“hardworking – nicolette tries to do her best to get things done, if it is something that she feels will benefit her. she does not see why she should not get something done if it needs doing. when it comes to work versus play, she is someone that would take work first any day. she feels she has inherited this from her father.
trustworthy – she doesn’t go around advertising “tell me secrets! i am here to listen to your problems. yeaah.”, but she can keep a secret like no other. she’s a particularly good listener, and if you ask her to keep something from the public’s prying ears, she’ll definitely try to do it. she will, however, try to give you advice for your problem, as she’d rather play psychologist than silent friend. she does, though, expect other people to do the same for her. if she catches you blurting out every single secret she’s ever had, well…that’s not exactly making her a happy panda.
ambitious – she knows what she wants, and will try her hardest to get it. this means that she will step on people, use them, lie, or cheat to get what she wants. she has been told that it all began with her ‘being a daddy’s girl’, but she attributes it to her absolute genius…not vain at all. ** note – this overrides any trustworthy qualities if need be.
patient – she knows how to deal with situations that aren’t exactly desirable. sometimes it is a good time to speak up and tell people exactly how you feel. other times, you have to bite your tongue, and let people ruin their own self-image. she is not perfect at this, but she does try to be patient as much as she can. how else is she supposed to get by?
she’s a good cook. nicolette has been living on her own for approximately five years, and does not trust anyone else to keep things as clean as she likes them. she also is a health freak, and therefore refuses to let other people cook for her, or eat certain foods. because of this, she has become a decent enough cook. she thinks she’s pretty darn good herself.”
nosy/curious – she likes to know things. not factual things, really, unless something has struck her as particularly interesting. just…things. if you’re being all mopey, she wants to know why. if you’re happy and acting all different, she wants to know why. your business is her business. its not that she wants to use them against you. she just likes knowing.
nicolette is scared of things getting very dirty. she does not like things being out of place, or dirt, because she is scared that if something is not kept in perfect condition, she may get sick from it. people get sick from malnourishment, from other people, and mostly from things getting into their water or from things that are not sanitary. she refuses to use silverware unless she washes it herself, first, and sometimes goes to great lengths to make sure everything is the way it should be, according to her.
she has trouble letting go of things. her superstitious ways evolved from a child incident, where her friend may decided to have a crush on a boy that ended up hurting her in ways she would rather not remember. that was a bit over ten years ago, but she still carries around deep in her heart. if somebody insults her, she keeps it with her and refuses to let people get away with similar mistakes.”
nicolette has a lot of bad memories, mostly because she has a hard time letting things go. her worst memory took place when she was six years old, visiting her cousins in the countryside. at this time, she had a white kitten with black paws, named romulus. she often played with romulus in her back yard, where she had a swing set and a medium sized pond. in the pond were fish, which both romulus and nicolette liked to pretend to catch. one day, nicolette decided to try and swim in said pond. it didn’t seem like a bad idea, seeing as it was deep enough for her to walk in (she had done so before to cool off one afternoon, against her parents’ wishes). when romulus saw nicolette in the water, he pawed at the surface. the young girl saw this as the kitten asking to join her, and went over to get him. nicolette placed the kitten in the water, he clawed at her face and arms, and drowned soon after. she finds it appalling that she had actually killed an animal (especially one that she considered to be one of her best friends) at such a young age, and also realizes that this was her first brush with death.
currently, she is twenty years old and attending university. her major is international relations, and she belongs to a sorority.
