"my full name is chanel ivy richards. i'm pretty sure that my mom actually named me because of the brand - she has a slight obsession with it? and as far as nicknames go: you can call me whatever you want, really. i'm not too picky, but there's not much that you can do with my name in cases of shortening it. ohh, and i'm nineteen. "
are you a brookwell high school student or a university student? oh, oops, are you a local or a teacher? if you are a teacher or a local, what is your job?:
"i'm a university student in the gamma psi alpha sorority."
how boring. let's get into the juice stuff, are you taken? married? in love? or are you single and free? and are you happy with your relationship status?:
"haha, it's pretty fun actually. but.. uhm. am i taken? yes? sorry, that wasn't supposed to sound like i was confused. me and my boyfriend just tend to have this on and off thing. you know, together and then we end up getting into some stupid fight and then we get back together? that sort of thing. but yes, i can honestly say that i'm happy at the moment."
where were you born? are you an american citizen or do you have citizenship in other countries as well? and what is your background, like your family background?:
"i was born here in new york. for me, it's one of those places that you can never leave once you're there. i don't think i could ever actually leave this place. it's beautiful, don't you think? and my father was born here in new york as well, and my mother moved here in her sophomore year of college. they didn't go to the same school, they met at her old job when she used to work at RAW as a waitress"
whats a typical day like for you? like, take us through your morning routine? do you even eat breakfast, you know it's the most important meal of the day, right?
"haha yes, of course breakfast is the most important! it gives you energy.. but a typical day with me: i wake up, go for a small run around the beach, come back home, get ready, get something quick to eat for breakfast - or just get something from starbucks. if i still have time after that i usually end up hanging out with evan or some other friends for a bit before class starts. i'm good in school - i'm a quick learner. and then after school, it's either back to the sorority - if we're not studying or anything like that we're most likely watching a movie or maybe planning a party, where everyone would be invited, of course - or with evan. if we're on good terms. "

what is your opinion on love?:
"love is.. pretty hard. i mean, it takes a lot of work on both sides. a lot of people, while they're growing up, they seem to think that it comes easily. that you're going to meet your prince charming and things are going to be amazing from there - and i don't mean to mess with that belief, but it's really not that easy. it takes a lot of effort to keep things going, but i guess that's what makes it worth it in the end, right? if you can go through the hard times together then you know you can fight a lot of things."
what is your opinion on family?:
"my family is important to me. my parents have always been really great and understanding about a lot of things and i love them. and i know that some people don't have it as easy as that, but that's why i'm so grateful for mine."
what is your opinion on soul mates?:
"i'm not sure about this question.. i change my mind about it a lot."
what is your opinion on violence?:
"avoid it! nothing is worth getting hurt over."
what is your opinion on truth; does it even exist?:
"oh gosh.. i hope so. honesty is a big thing for me.. but yes, i do think that it exists. i think that people just need to put in that effort to do so."

"it was this guy named brandon - back in the eighth grade."
who was the last person in your bed?:
"ha. evan. his name is going to be coming up in this section a lot, isn't it?"
who was your first kiss?:
"ahhh. i think it was this guy named alex. -laughs- i was in grade four. it was cute, actually. extremely awkward but cute. i remember we were hanging out and his brother, who was about five years older than us was kissing his girlfriend. and alex turned to me and said: '.. they do that a lot. i don't know why. do you want to try it?' and, well, yeah."
who was your first love?:
"evan. we've been together forever. on and off since freshman year."
what's your biggest turn on? turn off?
"turn on: i have thing for eyes. or, if you want something that isn't physical then i think it would be a guy that can make you smile. but everyone wants that right? turn off: i don't even know. i'm pretty understanding about a lot of things actually, even if i see a flaw i'd try to find something better about the person. it's sort of naive, but it's the way i am.. "

"my type. i don't know if i have a type. as long as the guy is fun to be with and as long as i genuinely like him then i'm good."

"yes, i am."

"my dad. i'll admit, i'm a bit of a 'daddys girl'. surprisingly, he's the one that isn't that strict. my mom does the yelling and my dad's usually the one to help her see things in other people's prospectives."
who can't you stand in your family? it's okay, we won't tell anyone:
"uhm.. well, there's this cousin that i have named carol. she's the type that seems to hate.. well, everyone. i've tried really hard to like her, but it's not going so well.. other than that, no one."
what is your relationship like with your mother? father?:
"my mother and i are the type that get along most of the time but end up arguing with a lot of thiings. we have different opinions on a lot of things. and my father and i are really close. i can talk to him about a lot of things"
how old were your parents when they met? how old was your mother when she had you?
"they were 20 when they met. like i said, my mom used to work at RAW and my dad would go there all the time. it started off with him being there, her remebering his 'usual' order and then the two of them deciding to try out dating. and, it worked out. my mother had me when she was 22."

"i wish i was better at staying mad at people. honestly, it might seem like a good thing that i don't hold grudges but i'm not sure about that.. sometimes people deserve to be shunned for a little bit. i just don't know how to do it. "
everyone has a big achievement, what's yours? what's your biggest regret?
"i give swimming lessons. i've been doing it for about three years now, actually. my mom has a friend that works at the pool and i have a whole lot of experience so.. i got the job. it's great to see kids going from not knowing how to do something at all and then all of a sudden be amazing at it. i don't have any regrets right now.. "
did you see yourself having this kind of life five years ago? where do you think you will be in five or even ten years from now?
"yeah, actually. most of it. i mean, i didn't see this much arguing but other than things have been going smoothly. in ten years i hope to be happy and successful. make a difference in this world."
